Similar to the TVs leading to the invention of portable TV sets, DVD players have led to the creation of portable DVD players. These portable DVD players were quite expensive initially. However, with the advent of technology, these DVD players have become less expensive and affordable in the 21st century. The main purpose of portable DVD players is to provide entertainment in areas where electricity and TV screens are absent. All the modern DVD players allow you to not only watch movies but also listen to music and a whole lot of other functions as well.
Marquant MCD-Kit-14 Twin is a top quality portable DVD player that comes with all the state of the art features. The obvious feature is the set of two 9-inch display screens. One of these display screens is equipped with the DVD player and also SD card and USB ports capable of playing multimedia. The DVD player is integrated to support MPEG4 videos, MP3 music along with JPEG images. Along with JPEG, it also supports PAL and NTSC image file formats. Other picture formats supported are 16:9 and 4:3. These DVD players can be charged either by using a cigarette lighter adapter, an electric socket or through integrated batteries. You can use the two screens to mount them on either headrests of your car for back seat viewing. Belt system is used for mounting the screens. You also get a 12 V power cord and 230 V power mains with the set. All the necessary cables along with headphones are supplied in the set.
There are two 3.5 mm ports available for headphones in addition to one for audio input and one for video input. You also can operate the portable DVD player by using a convenient remote control and OSD. Anti-shock function available ensures smooth running even on bumpy roads. Other features available are zoom, slow motion, repeat, angle, mute, JPEG image rotation etc. The portable DVD player also comes with speakers and parental control. Other sound and picture settings are also available.
The portable DVD player pack comes with two DVD screens, one remote control, a set of earphones, a carrying case, AV jack cable, a power cable connecting the screens, a power mains and a 12 V cigarette lighter adapter. The size of the set is 23 x 4 x 18 cm and it weighs around 1.5 kg.
