I travel quite a lot, both on trains and using my car. I have to travel for 2-4 hours every time, so I decided to get a portable DVD player to kill the boredom. After some research on internet, I was happy to select THOMSON TWIN720DP and I had a good reason for doing so. I have a couple of children and whenever I travel keeping them silent is a huge problem for both my wife and me. Therefore, this portable DVD player, which came with two 7-inch LCD screens, was a brilliant solution. It can be fitted at the back of each headrest of your car. This allowed some quiet time for both of us as the kids kept themselves engaged in watching films. This portable DVD player came with another advantage. It could be carried easily inside my home and I was able to use it on the train journeys.
The 7-inch LCD screen on the portable DVD player allows you to watch MPEG4 compatible video files in high definition. The Thomson TWIN720DP also supports other important file formats MP3 and JPEG for music and images respectively thereby providing additional entertainment options. The DVD player comes with excellent connectivity and has slots for MMC, MS and SD cards along with a port for USB stick. I was able to use the USB port to connect to a camera and an MP3 player to watch pictures and listening to music. Apart from these, the Thomson TWIN720DP comes with a range of useful accessories that include headrest fastening belts and cigarette lighter adapter. It has worked like a charm and I am 100% satisfied with the product. Not only has it provided a peace of mind while traveling it also comes with a full UK maker's warranty of 2 years. In my research for a portable DVD player, I never found a single portable DVD player of this kind with a warranty of 2 years.
The product along with the accessories weighs about 1.6 Kg and comes with a price tag of £125.99. This is a brilliant price for the features offered on the portable DVD player. The support for discs is also a great advantage, as many DVD players cannot use game discs or computer software discs. The fully charged battery provided just enough viewing time for my family to reach the destination. Therefore, it was an excellent investment indeed. My children love the DVD player and it is simple to carry around and can even be used in the home.
