[15/07/2010] Venturer 7in Twin Screen DVD Player
This Venturer portable DVD player comes with two 7’’ LCD screens that can work with 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio and have separate audio, color and brightness controls. The two screens are easily and securely attached to the headrests of the front seats with the help of elastic cords and Velcro straps. Once fixed, the displays can still be slightly tilted and therefore adjusted accordingly to the height of the kids or the adults that travel at the back.
Included in the box are two headphones, remote control, user manual, carry bag and power cable. The remote control supports the usual basic operations like reverse, repeat and resume and comes with the needed battery. The resume feature of this model is a powerful one that most other portable DVD players lack – in case you turn your car engine off, you can resume watching the movie from exactly the same point where you left off, while other models always start playing the movie from the beginning. Both screens have built-in speakers and headphone jacks and the DVD player itself has headphone jack as well.
Other features that set this DVD player apart from other similar models are the parental control, language and subtitle support and the multi-angle facility. The supported formats are DVD, CD, CD R/RW, MP3 and JPEG picture files can be displayed as well.
Apart from the impressive characteristics of this product, the Venturer 7’’ twin screen DVD player handles very well on the road as well. The audio is crisp and loud enough and the supplied headphones can be used when the backseat passengers don’t want to disturb the driver. The picture quality is also great and the aspect ratio of both screens can be switched from 16:9 to 4:3 with a single click. The disks don’t slide in, though, and the lid of the DVD player has to be lifted in order to change DVDs or remove them. The supplied remote control is powerful and works from great distance and you can easily use if from the front passenger’s seat if your kids are too young and cannot yet use it. One small drawback of this model is the wiring, which can definitely get on the way, but this is greatly outweighed by the quality, ease of use and the dazzling features that this DVD player comes with.
