[18/03/2010] Dual Zone function for Dual Portable DVD Player
Dual zone function allows car DVD player to handle two or more functions during the same time. It is already common in car DVD players with GPS function. When drivers turn on the GPS, they can listen to CD, radio or even watch DVD, everything at the same. Of course it is highly not recommended to watch DVD while driving for the sake of health and safety.
Not all Dual DVD players (mostly 2 DIN size) have dual zone function implemented.
1. The DVD player should be equipped with GPS function. The CPU (central processor unit) of the DVD Player has to be upgraded, that means only branded or updated unit will be usable.
2. Always ask for such function before buying. Drivers on the road would appraciate having both GPS and radio functioning at the same time. Especially Dual Zone function for Car DVD Player for the radio with RDS function.
In order to test for the dual zone, GPS function must be turned on first. Then DVD or Radion function should be on, and that's it, driver should be able to listen to the CD or radio. When GPS voice direction is on, the radio will be mute automatically when GPS's voice is on. This is really useful.
Gearflag features updated DVD players are equipped with update CPU which enable the unit to play radio while GPS being enable.
