Our Review
This is one very affordable DVD player that comes with two 9’’ TFT displays and the used 16:9 wide screen aspect ratio allows you to watch high quality movies without seeing bars at the top or at the bottom of the screen. The screen resolution is 640x234, the brightness 250cd/m2, and the contrast ratio 500:1. The sound quality is also good and there is built-in two channel speaker and a headphone jack as well.
The Alba DVD-293 is capable of playing DVD, DVD R, DVD RW, CD, CD R, CD RW and displays JPEG photos too, but unfortunately cannot play VCD and SVCD formats; another minor drawback of this product is the fact it plays only region 2 DVDs. The box comes with mains adaptor, remote control, and two AAA batteries for the remote control.
