The Nextbase SDV47AM is a 7’’ twin-screen portable DVD player that allows you to play wide variety of movie and audio files while on the road. The set comes with two headrest mounts that permit the DVD player and the slave monitor to be securely mounted to the headrests of the driver’s and the front passenger’s seats. The Nextbase SDV47AM is powered by a cable that gets plugged in the cigarette lighter socket (the adaptor is supplied); it has built-in speakers, but also sockets that permit headsets to be used. The quality of the 7’’ monitors is superb and the remote control, which is also supplied, allows you to stop, pause, and play the movies, as well as perform various other operations.
Apart from all standard multimedia formats, the Nextbase SDV47AM can play DivX movies, as well as audio CDs and MP3 files, and view JPEG photos. The unit is also shock-proof and comes with numerous playback modes like angle, AB repeat, fast reverse, OCD, repeat, shuffle play, and more.
Cons
Even though the Nextbase SDV47AM is very easy to mount and set up, some customers are not too happy with the cabling; the Nextbase SDV47AM player also supports only Region code 2 DVDs and the headsets are not included.
